I think it’s pretty normal to wonder what’s going on with the player, but I also think that’s been sufficiently answered for anyone with a healthy curiosity.
The obsessive, entitled aspect side of this just generally strikes me as gross and weird. It would be no more gross and weird to feel frustrated or demand information about actual “celebrities” like Kim Kardashian or Taylor Swift. Can you imagine how fast a 35 year old man would be laughed out of the room if he said “They cancelled Keeping up with the Kardashians citing Kim’s mental health, which I find really frustrating because I feel like they owe it to us to tell us the diagnosis”? Well, imagine him doing the exact same thing for a middle-pairing player in a middle-market team on the fourth most popular sport in North America.
He’s not playing. Be an adult and get over it.
