I expect this to get better in April or May as my first seperation injury, which was a degree less severe, took one year to heal... the injury itself healed quickly but getting the rest of my shoulder/arm back to strenght and range of motion took forever.

I'm pretty sure Pelletier's 20 something body will heal and recover significantly quicker than my 40 something body though.
Yeah that sounds about right. I broke my collarbone when i was 8 or 9 years old at the beginning of the summer. , i remember the pain being excruciating and like the other poster mentioned, sleeping was quite difficult. That said, it healed over the summer and i didnt even miss hockey tryouts in the fall.

I seperated my shoulder when i was 18, missed the rest of the year and was back for my next hockey season, I remember dealing with pain for quite some time but i was pretty functional after a few months again.

I've dislocated my shoulder twice, and as far as recovery, i'd say it was the longest and hardest by far. My first time, i took 9 months to heal and honestly i didnt wait long enough, and ended up dislocating it again the following season (beer league now, i'm getting old). The second time i dislocated, i was offered surgery and declined, decided to rehab again and gave it a full 14 months to tightnen up the ligaments. Havent dislocated since.

TLDR - id say the pain of the break was the worst and quicked recovery. Separation was less painful than the dislocation and shorter recovery, all around just better than a dislocation for me, which was a long recovery. If Pelletier has a break we should see him in the lineup this season.
