I think, just by EXISTING, the West will win this war. Why did the Taliban ban televisions? Because watching western television shows showed women with rights. And once people see others with rights, they start making those demands as well. Women in Saudi Arabia are demanding the right to drive. Okay, it's a very small step, but it's a few flakes that might turn into a snowball.

I just finished watching an episode of L&O:SVU where a brother kills his sister because she slept with the man she loved, not the man she was promised to. So I was thinking about this issue before I even saw this thread. If these people are taught from birth that it is okay to stone someone, it's hard to condemn them. I mean, what happened in that video is right out of Deuteronomy. I have no idea how to impose human rights on a civilization brainwashed by the clerics with power; I can only hope that eventually the people will wise up and fight back against their oppressors.
