Don't have to climb the steepest hills to get better at climbing, just have to do repeats above threshold. Work on increasing your 2-5 min power and decreasing your weight.
Then you can change it up, 1 minute seated, 1 minute standing.
COP is good, can use Edworthy, Mckenzie golf course hill is 2 mins. if you use a harder gear.
Do 5-10 efforts of 2-5mins with 2 minutes rest between, 2x a week, do that for 6 weeks and you should get better.
Keep in mind I suck at hills but I know what I am not doing to get better.
