My wife was pretty much indifferent to hockey when we first started dating. After she saw how much of a fan I was, though, she started watching games with me and learning more about the game and the players. I wouldn't call her a super-hardcore hockey fan now, but she certainly enjoys going to a game live or watching it on tv (either at home or at a sports bar).
So I think the lesson here is that I wouldn't write off a girl completely just because she doesn't like hockey. If she's a keeper, she'll take an active interest in your hobbies, and hopefully she can be converted.
