for me a general interest in hockey is a must. As in, acknowledge the sport, and be supportive of the fact that I'm a fan.

As for being a Flames fan, if that was a requirement I might as well join the seminary. I can't find another Flames fan let alone female Flames fan where I'm from (Halifax Drunk would be the closest, and while he's a nice guy I have no interest in dating him, sorry to crush your spirits there HD, it's just that you're too old for me). The concept of dating a Flames fan is so foreign to me, that I don't know if I could, even if I found a girl that was a fan of the team from Calgary.

It'd be like me dating a Texas Rangers fan, I have to bring into question why you like the team. I mean I know why I do, I'm messed up, but why would a normal human being?

The thread did shift to a girl liking hockey. As previously stated, as long as she likes hockey I'm good with that. Heck as long as she accpets the fact that I like hockey I'm ok with that. I don't need someone to watch Flames games with, but then again I miss a lot of Flames games living where I live. So for me to miss a game is nothing as I don't get 80% of them anyway. So unlike what FireFly mentioned, it's not 2 or 3 nights a week for me.

For me if you can make me laugh, and put me at ease, I might even put up with a girl who is an Oilers or Canucks fan... I mean the challange to convert would be kind of fun anyway.
