To be honest, I thought Coronato was 2 shoes in to play top 9 this year for the Flames from day 1. Although I still think from watching him that he will be a staple on our top 6 for years to come, he might benefit from 25 games or so of AHL top line action and experience.
Honzek may get preseason games, but definitely shouldn’t get a 1 game regular season sniff. I’m still super high on him and still thinking top line potential, but he needs another year in junior and perhaps 1 AHL year before full time NHL action.
Klapka surprised me in a good way. He would be the 1st call up assuming Pelletier and Duehr are “locks”. Let’s see where Zary is at come preseason and if Coronato progresses through main training camp and preseason.
