Dis, time to turn in your Queensryche fan club membership. Tate, DeGarmo and Rockenfield would step in front of a bus if they heard one of their fans "liked" those no talent hacks, the White Stripes. Meg White is the worst excuse for a drummer on the face of the planet. Jack White can barely play guitar, is a terribe writer and singles like his junk is caught in his fly.
I can respect your dislike for the whole rap/metal genre, I'm not a big fan of it myself. But I do give props to Linkin Stinkin Park, they know how to make music that sells and gets your toe tapping. I'll always like their stuff for the fact that it's "fun" to listen to, and you don't have to be overly attentive when you rock out. There is a time for almost all music (save the likes of White Stripes) and bands like Linkin Park and Nickleback will always have space in my collection because they are fun, familiar, and you don't have to explain to people WTF they are listening to.
The "intellectual" picks in this thread are intersting. I have a feeling that in 10 years some of these people will look back and shake their heads at the stuff they "thought" was cool to listen to. I'm sure some of it will be held in the same regard as Linkin Park and Nickleback!
On the subject of the thread, and certain ridicule, I'm actually looking forward to the summer release from Ra.
