The only issue would be if the AHL team was based somewhere else. The current set up is so great, you aren’t even asking the guy to travel. He basically has the opportunity to be a starter all year, between leagues… I don’t see a downside at this point in his development. He probably won’t play in the AHL ever again after this season if everything keeps progressing how it has. It’s all great news.
