It had gotten so bad, I just gave up. Such a shame as it's a splendid space within our city. The city installed all the new bollards along paths in 2019-20 to the tune of $50K noting the 'off leash' areas, dog owners just ignore them, what a laughable waste. There is literally no enforcement in the park either. I have had to defend myself from oncoming dogs countless times, only to have their owner approach and tell me 'they're friendly', #### YOU! Animal Services told me that Nose Hill Park elicits the most dog complaints in north Calgary every year, yet nothing is done in terms of meaningful enforcement. I get it's a big park and there is limited resources, but more can/and should be done. Throw some officers on Mountain Bikes incognito and have conversations with those breaking the law and blast out fines.
