The Manoah situation is simply him being a brat and not checking his ego. It's not on the Jays. I think most fans would fault management for bringing him back so quickly when it was clear it wasn't a quick fix to start off. I don't think shutting it down is a bad thing though. If he needs to clear his head and rid himself off this season, I don't care. He wasn't going to solve his problems this late in the season anyway, so better he take a few weeks off then start practicing again.
What frustrates me about this team is the apparent culture being off. If it was a great team atmosphere I think you'd see guys enjoying their successes more. It seems almost too subdued at times. This off-season will be a tough one as I doubt they'll sign Chapman and Kiermaier may walk himself. It's going to be an uphill battle for management to make effective trades given their lack of assets, so I'm guessing it'll be opening the checkbook for a lot of money in free agency signings. I do hope they sign Kiermaier back. I just don't see how they fix it though.
