I don't think it even needs to be thought of as satire.
In the general population more people have lewd photos on their phone, than those who do not. Given a team's worth of people, it would be statistically shocking if there were no "dick pics" shown.
Your boss going through your private photos on your private phone is equivalent to you boss going through video from a camera in your private bedroom. In both cases there is a chance that everything is PG, but there is a reasonable expectation that there will be something private.
