While the Delta Center wouldn't be ideal for the NHL, it would still be more than triple the capacity of the ASU arena.

I know a new arena for SLC has been mentioned as part of their Olympic plan (for either 2030 or 2034), but I can't find any information about where such a project stands. It likely means any team in SLC would need to play at least 3 or 4 seasons in the Delta Center before a new arena would be available.

Of course, even if the Coyotes stay and build a new arena somewhere in Arizona, they'll probably be at ASU for 2 or 3 years beyond this season anyway.

It has been mentioned here before that during one of the recent renovations to the Suns' arena, the ice making equipment was removed to make way for a premium club area. If that's true, it would seem to make any suggestion of moving in with the Suns a non-starter.

Also, the Suns' owner would need to want to buy the team, which is something we know the Jazz owner wants.
