That’s because he most likely didn’t. Teams find talent. If he was that good he would have made it somewhere.
If you look at his career stats he floated around the minors and europe for a decade after having Peters as a coach and didn’t put up impactful numbers at any of his stops.
He even played for the Flames for a bit post Peters encounter under two different head coaches. So it’s not like he didn’t have an opportunity.
