I'd assume the homeowner. So not only have you agreed to pay an inflated cost for your solar panels, but you've guaranteed the installer an inflated maintenance fee too.

Would depend on the supplier I guess but maintenance and repairs are usually included when leasing stuff for the home (at least as far as solar panels and AC and all those kinds of things goes).
When I was AC shopping I ended up buying outright but I did look into the lease option and with everything included it was better than some financing options.

Depends where you are I guess. In Ontario most people rent their water heaters from what I’ve read. A lot of solar is leased.
It’s a lot different than leasing a car, and a lot less absurd than a leased lawn.
If the money makes sense, who cares if you own it? I own every tile on my roof, wouldn’t make a lick of difference to me if you owned 1/3 of them, they’re still on my roof.
