I personally wouldn't be inclined to lease solar panels from someone else. For me a house with solar panels now that I could purchase outright would be a plus, but taking on someone else's lease sounds like a headache I don't want.
Same thing goes for leasing a furnace (yes that's a thing now too). I would never agree to pay a lease on one and would let the sale of a house fall through because of it.
