I have to admit that was utterly disappointed. I don't know exactly what I was expecting but it was more than this, being the closing chapter and all. The special effects and the action sequences were done very well. Both Sandman and Venom were fun characters to watch. And the brief Hobgoblin appearance wasn't too bad. The problem with this is that it just drags on, specially with the romantic story which is nothing but over dramatics that just get in the way of what could have been a good story. I wish there could have been more done with Sandman and Venom, Venom which IMO was introduced too late in the story. There were some good aspects to this movie. The fights don't disappoint, Gwen (Bryce Dallas Howard) was great in her mere eye candy role, the comedy is well done campiness...except for one point in the black suit story that was like a bad moment out of a John Hughes flick, an almost cringe worthy part of this movie, and of course the inevitable Bruce Campbell cameo was again brief and providing comic relief. For those unfamiliar with this little bit fanboy pleasing on Sam Raimi's part, Bruce Campbell has been in all three Spidey movies as the Ring Announcer in the first, the Snooty Usher in the second and you'll have to watch the movie to find out where he is in this one.

I just hope the next big summer blockbuster, Pirates lives up to it's expectation.
