The problem that I had with Treliving’s regime was regularly signing veterans for lower line up roles and frequently trading for 3rd pairing defencemen with second and third round picks. It wasn’t enough of an issue for me to think he should be fired. If Conroy gives more priority to younger players and stops bleeding draft picks, then I think the team’s scouting and development should be fine.
I also second the comment that the constant trashing of the team because they aren’t doing a rebuild is tiring to read everyday. It is a valid opinion, but it has been said - a lot. There are other valid opinions too. There seems less discussion and more emoting in the forum.
