Obviously it hasn’t been a great year for him on a number of fronts but he still has a chance to get better. He does need a solid running attack to balance things out; I think Michel was a good mid season add as well.
Now to go for the home-and-home sweep!

To me he's Matt Nichols when he's playing well. You can win with that type of QB but you need a strong surrounding team and Jake hasn't been afforded that as special teams, the defense, as well as offensive line and WR's haven't been great at times this season. If the Stamps choose in the offseason to stick with Maier then I would hope that Dickenson focuses on improving the defense that's not performed well against key rivals like the Lions and Bombers.
That said I think Stamps fans need to realize that Jake leads the league with 13 Interceptions, is last in QB rating amongst starters, and has led the team to a 4-8 record. Even if you get past the other issues with the team, the margins are always going to be slim with a QB that turns over the ball this much and isn't overly efficient. You don't want to get too comfortable with mediocre QB performance but fans also have to realize it's probably going to be more difficult going forward to unearth QB talent as long as the other two leagues are operating after the NFL season. Jake's probably good enough to keep for another season but the team should always have an eye open for his replacement as Jake looks to me like a bridge QB for this organization.
