Okay. I know the Flames believe they have a roster than can compete now. You have to have Lindy to do that. So, signing Lindy would be a positive towards the goal of competing now. I just hope it doesn’t go too much over 8 * 8.5, which I believe has been suggested by those who have sources in the organization.
It does make me feel nervous how old the Flames’ core will be. I’m guessing if the Flames sign Lindy for 8 * 8.5, the Flames will probably accomplish nothing during the Lindholm, Kadri, Huberdeau, Weegar era. They aren’t good enough to compete now, and the team will go downhill as the core continues to age.
I guess I should say that I think regular season success without playoff success is worthless.
