I guess that is a possibility. I just think that the AHL is an insanely high skill level and there are a lot of second round draft picks who bounce around in between the ECHL and the AHL. It isn't saying that he was a bad player just that the skill level in a developmental league is absolutely insanely high.
Racism likely played a part but I don't know if it was the predominant factor.
