My little pal started kindergarten today. He's so excited and I'm excited for him. I found one of those first/last day of school chalkboards, where they can write their name, which year of school its their first/last day of, the date of the first/last day of school, their height, age, what they want to be when they grow up, and what their current favorite things are. Just got texted the picture.
When he grows up, he wants to be cool.
His favorite things to date, in order, are his family, cars, and minecraft. He doesn't have school tomorrow and my son & daughter in law both work tomorrow, so he's coming over tonight for a sleepover. Tomorrow, we're taking g him to Drumheller to the dinosaur museum and then out camping with us until Sunday. It's going to be a great weekend.
You know, we've had some sad and some scary moments of late, but it's still such a wonderful/good life, simple as it may be, and even in the middle of all that, it's all these kinds of moments that keep me/us reminded of that. Balance, I guess. It's definitely a happy day.
