Its interesting that they're starting to link the series together on Imperial Lines.
It feels clear that at least one of two of those senators are at the very worst Imperial sympathizers or working from within the Senate as Imperial spies. We saw that previously in other series where these former Imperials "swore an oath", but were actively working for the Imperial remnant and probably the First Order.
I like Hera's exchange with the Senator asking what he was doing during the war.
I doubt we get more then a few minutes of Thrawn this season.
We know that the Republic by the time of the Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett and even the sequels is this massive failure, especially on the outer ring. Probably bought down from the inside by the Empire/First Order which in itself could be an interesting storyline.
In terms of this series, again I was a huge fan in the end of Clone Wars/Rebels and Ashley's voicing of her, and I guess that's why I'm having some trouble getting engaged with Stoic Ashoka.
But it could go right back to her time with Anakin who was emotional and arrogant and selfish. A path that Ashoka was on for quite a while, so maybe she has a fear of becoming her master.
