I kind of get what you are saying. There is no doubt it's about where he grew up and not being exposed to/understanding hip hop and mixing with other cultures will have had some impact here.

But the part i don't get....i don't believe we have heard the full story. How could Peters not have reached out in the past four years to make amends? Unless a lawyer said he can't, i find it hard to believe he didn't attempt. Even a lame attempt. Even if he doesn't feel sorry. Others will have told him to do this. For the sake of his career alone, the chances of him not trying to do something in the last 4 years is remote in my opinion. Think of Peters what you want, but he isn't an idiot.

One thing we can also infer: Akim Aliu is not ready to accept an apology. He's hurt still. From Peters. From his poor treatment growing up. All of it. It's plausible he didn't want to take a message/call whatever from Peters.

As Ted Lasso says....forgiveness is the best gift that he can give...to himself.

I hope he finds a way.
