I actually think the actress who plays Sabine is starting to get a handle on it. Not physically, but with dialogue. Like when she talks to the cup...thats Sabine. Cracking jokes during a fight...thats more like it.
Dawson as Ahsoka though...I dont know whats going on there. I understand people are complaining that she's 'wooden' but we've seen her do this character before, and she's a talented actress.
I wonder if her directions are..."You're the Master now. You're the 'old hand' you have to be calmer, more mature."
And thats the direction she's taking the character. It feels deliberate.
Other than that, pretty good. The New Republic is as crappy as the Empire was and as dumb as the Jedi where they cant see the direct threat immediately under their noses despite ample warnings.
And of course....Space Whales.

i wonder if people are comparing live action ahsoka to 'clone wars ahsoka' instead of 'rebels ahsoka'
the 'rebels ahsoka' is definitely older and more mature. i remember watching a video about the making of clone wars season 7 and ashley eckstein said that she had to go back and almost 'relearn' how she voiced a younger ahsoka.
so far i'm enjoying this show - love the cheesy call backs and easter eggs.
i really liked how hera called out the senator asking how many wars he's fought in. it was also neat seeing jacen syndulla.
