Turns out fire will burn and spread as long as there's something to burn, and there's a LOT of things in a car that burn fine on their own without having to have a space laser.

I’m not really big on the whole “science” mumbo jumbo that you’re peddling here but if I’m not mistaken there’s water in gasoline so theoretically once the fuel tank melts the water in the gasoline should put out the fire, no?
