But yeah, just because there's a curious connection between two events or places doesn't mean it's anything more than just that, and if you're fooled into believing there's actually a chance of it then you probably need more channels that this unfounded information from the most unreliable of places needs to pass through in order for you to accept it as gospel.

Time to get off the blue pill and come back to reality, where there isn't a grand plot behind every unfortunate event you read about.

We occupy almost every piece of land on a planet that is highly geologically active with daily extreme weather events, somewhere someone is bound to run into tragedy at the hands of these forces.

Reality is actually pretty boring, and a lot of times there isn't a culprit behind a tragic event, as much as we may desperately try to manufacture one to have someone to blame. Reality has the spice level of ketchup.
