I'm jealous you don't have the bug issue we have further south. If I put a massive bug attracting light like that in the open air in VA in the evening, I'd be inviting all sort of medium to large insects to the party and probably be carried away by them!

Initially I wanted to go this route - cheap as possible tv - but when it became clear in my mind it would be my new home for NFL Sundays, I wanted a TV with the brightness to be acceptable in daylight. I climbed the ladder for a while, adding a few hundred dollars every hundred nits of brightness, but came back to this as the best value overall.
We have virtually no bugs at night.
