I stayed in Emeryville once, near a nice outdoor mall (I think the same mall this took place) w/ Apple Store and the works.. typical upscale shopping and restaraunts
I was walking with my pops after dinner and there are cops literally running after 2 dudes, car windows broken EVERYWHERE.. just absolute chaos.
My wife is from Stockton CA, I spend a lot of time in NorCal and it is absolutely a mess almost everywhere you go. Especially worse in the last 5 years or so.
The Bay Area was one of my favorite places to visit going back to being a teenager and now I have no interest in the place. SF is a cluster**** these days
