I agree, some kids are entirely unaware of the consequences surrounding posting things on enormous online boards like MySpace and Facebook.
People love the fact that they can go on facebook and talk to people they haven't seen in years, enjoying the service that is provided. They dont see into the fact that it makes people very easy to find, and you have to be careful.
A friend of mine's little brother is in high school and one of their substitute teachers ended up having her picture posted all over facebook while she was at a club drunk off her ass. All the students saw this and shes having a hard time getting a subbing job.
Same friend went on facebook and joined a certain "group" that was fairly innocuous but was focused on the dis-like a certain co-worker that they all worked with. It started as a joke, but they all got fired.
Theres a lot of things kids dont know and the learning curve just gets steeper every year. Every action has consequences.
