Two Calgary police officers have been relieved from their duties with pay after the release of a video that allegedly shows them using excessive force during an arrest.

He (police chief Jack Beaton) acknowledged that from the video footage there "may be some indication" that excessive force took place -- a complaint that was made by the person who shot the video, not the suspect himself.
