He still could have made a huge impact on the PP last year for the Flames, but instead he might have been the number 1 reason for the awful results the team had with the man advantage. You don't often see a superstar talent look so bad when he has time and space to operate with the most talented players on the roster as Huberdeau did last year.

I'm hoping for the best in terms of a bounce back year, but even if he does flirt with 80 points, I have big concerns that his play will decline in the playoffs when he simply can't compete or play through the tough matchups.
Was it really Hubderdeau who brought down the offence and powerplay?

The powerplay was puzzling as Huberdeau and Lindholm looked to be isolated while a 3 man game was played by Kadri, Andersson and Toffoli.

The team was a mess, I think they have pointed to a improved powerplay and hired a guy has to date coaches a lot of successful powerplays 1 at the NHL level that didn't seem loaded with offensive talent.

You have to let offensive players play their game and make some mistakes its a risk and reward and when you get rewarded with 115 points you take it everytime.

Someone called Sutters system the most dominant in the league LOL, I am not sure having a bunch of offensive players toss pucks on net from the outside and let your goalie face 20 shots with 12 high danger scoring chances it very dominant. But hey at least we got a point for winning the corsi battle oh wait.
