Matthews is a premium 1C in the league, who is younger and scores more goals. Lindholm is older but also a 1C, at least for now.
Matthews $13.25M for four years. UFA at the end.
Lindholm is $9M for eight years. Likely his last major contract.
If we assume Matthews gets 95 points, then it equals about 7.17 points per million. Lindholm would only need 64 points at $9 million to be similar production based on percentage of the cap. Did I do that right?
