Majority of the people that live in the area are fans of 1 visiting team so those game would be a decent draw, Flames, Oilers (lots of Chicago people) etc. but other than that it would be local attendance and I don't think the interest is there with Phoenix residences for the 60+ games.
The best option would have been the Tempe area because of the promos that could be offered to the college students to get butts in seats.

I don't know about that, they just need to be where their fanbase, corporate sponsors/high level ticket holders can actually go to weekday games. They're looking in the right locations currently. But students aren't make or break for the team, in fact I think they slimmed down the student section at Mullett this year.
