The problem in my mind is that playing him in a league he has dominated is counter productive. If you want him to be an NHL goalie, he needs to be facing NHL players at the NHL pace. Sure goalie is one of the tougher positions in sports as you need to manage the load, but putting him back down is just going to give him bad habits.
Another aspect is that sending him back down really ends a message that he is not valued. He has done everything in his power to earn an NHL roster spot. Again, playing time is important, but so is being with the team permanently. And if the last 18 months is any indication with Markstrom, Wolf may be able to play his way to a lot more games than you guys have planned for him.
