She actually has a fascinating background. While on University exchange in Kyiv she helped document a mass grave site left behind by the Soviet secret police. Then later she attracted the attention of the KGB who created a file on her for working with dissidents and raising attention of the living conditions. They created a case study on her documenting the impact someone like her could have.
I do not like her policies and think she has aided and abetted much of Trudeaus nastiness. That said she is actually someone who I can dislike politically but admire her for some of the things she’s done, she’s someone Canadians should probably know more about. I also suspect that’s why the right attacks her, she’d be a tough out if she ends up being the leader I suspect.
