There are other problems- mainly O-Line and play calling but nothing is as serious a problem as not having a quality QB.

I thought it was the job of the GM to provide an adequate backup QB? I simply don't understand Dave's philosophy to come into the season without a backup QB on the roster that he could trust to throw the ball especially given how unproven Maier is. To have to keep coming back with a guy that's engineered a single TD drive in three weeks is telling of how this team has been run this season. Just not good enough.
