I'd consider repairing/replacing the engine on a vehicle of that age of the rest of it is in good shape. Even if it's $10k, if you can't find anything comparable for that price you'll still come out ahead. Hell even just to have a car for 2 years while you wait for new car prices to stabilize it might make sense.
