I can't speak for anyone else, but my arguments have only been that he IS a winger (now), and that any player that plays consistantly on McDavid/Draisail's wing would probably make that list if they were able to capatilize on that opportunity (as he has).
RNH by himself in a vacuum is not a top-20 anything, but he isn't in a vacuum by himself... so, yadda, yadda, yadda... here we are.
