It has to do with the culture that Hartley was brought in to dismantle. Entitled veterans were casualties.
Hartley drove him away from Calgary then he played 18 games and was out of the league. Just let that marinate a bit.
Like I said, maybe Hartley told him some truths he didn’t like to hear. Hartley didn’t come in to befriend the old guard.
Just because he is a good guy who gave an honest effort doesn’t mean he wasn’t too comfortable or that he can’t think a bit more highly of himself than maybe was appropriate

This sounds like speculation. What is the actual support for him being a "card carrying member of the country club"? His NHL career coming to an end is evidence of nothing.
