The song is popular in conservative circles sure, but its message is pretty universal in its appeal to the disaffected forgotten man, and is seeing positive reviews from people across ideological lines and not traditionally drawn to country or folk music.
Are all these reaction video views artificially inflated as well? I don't think so. He's authentically speaking truth to peoples hearts and souls and its resonating deeply.
