First time HC, rookie GM, question marks in goal, question marks if Huberdeau is washed before his 8 year deal even starts (I don’t think he is), no elite players under 28, no hotshot prospects on the level of Gaudreau/Tkachuk on the way, old building, small Canadian market.
It isn’t complicated, it isn’t personal - it’s bad timing.
