Writing in tech. Which is why it isn’t out the question that it was a legitimate job application, and the applicant was a legitimate big-brain.

Ultimately she was discounted as a candidate because A) our manager was genuinely afraid she was a Ted Kaczynski-type nutbar, and B) one of the primary criteria for the job was the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to your target audience, and the resume was an absolute failure on that front.

My co-worker and I wanted to meet her regardless, if just for a coffee to find out what her deal was. But that would have been unprofessional. He did keep a copy of the resume for us to take out and marvel at every now and then. It’s impossible to exaggerate how astonishingly cryptic and bonkers it was.
