2013 North American swing was the highest level Nadal ever played outside a clay court IMO. Not only does he win Canada defeating Djokovic and local favorite Raonic in the finals, he backs that up by winning Cincy defeating Federer and local favorite Isner in the final. Then to cap it all off he defeated Djokovic in the final to win the US Open for a 2nd time. He's the only member of the big 3 to complete the hat trick.
