Crosby is still scoring comfortably over a point per game, Malkin had the best season he's had in years last season, outside of the whole stroke thing and a broken foot, Letang still had a very strong year (his defense was more suspect than usual, but that wasn't helped by the fact that Dumoulin's skill set fell off a cliff in the last 2 years and previously he was the anchor that allowed Letang to do his thing).
Those three were not even close to the Penguins' problem last year. They (along with an extremely strong year from Jason Zucker) were the only reason we didn't miss the playoffs by 15-20 points. I don't know if people outside of Pittsburgh realize just how badly Hextall wrecked this team, it was
ugly.
