Think that it was Duhatchek musing that Lindholm will want to see what the new GM and coach are like for the organization and how the dressing room is this year.
Thoughts are that the Flames want to keep him and the contract dollars won't be hard to agree to its whether or not Lindholm wants to spend 8 more years in Calgary.
Flames want him and will give him that time. Most likely until after Christmas. Sometime in January Lindholm will need to decide or will be traded if he does not want to sign.
Only way it happens before then is if a team offers the Flames a great deal and they go to Lindholm and say you have to decide now.
