No one would be more excited than me if there was real, incontrovertible evidence of alien contact. It'd be the second most important development in human[I[/I] history (after language), and I would be witness to it, and to all the changes that would result. However, just because I would like it to happen, doesn't mean it has or is likely to happen, and so long as the evidence in favour is definitely controvertible I won't be excited or even particularly interested.
