I was a little geeked out watching Richie's episode because it was shot at Ever in Chicago, a 2-star Michelin restaurant. My wife and I actually had dinner there last year, and when he was hanging outside to start the episode the area looked familiar (it's literally in a quiet former industrial neighborhood), but when he walked in the decor was instantly recognizable. I had to laugh when he walked through the hanging dried ingredients because that's just what they do there at Ever to welcome you. They hang dried ingredients that they will be using in your meal as a prelude. It may have seemed like a written thing to illustrate the pretentiousness of the restaurant, but it's just what they do already.
I know, I know, cool story bro.
Amazing restaurant. It was pretty cool that they allowed the show to shoot there.
