In my experience, trying to do touristy things with the locals - like walking around the Halifax waterfront, or enjoying the view from the ferry - would probably fall flat with your local client.
Can you imagine if someone came to Calgary to entertain you, and for that, they take you to Peter's Drive Inn and then walk along the ridge in Crescent Heights?
