Lifes too short to focus on just the bad. There is bad, but there's also good.

It will be very interesting to see how the changes in organizational leadership will impact the team. The majority of the last season I had a weird feeling that something was going on behind the scenes. They were continually losing games to teams they had no business losing to. The players looked indifferent at times. You had lifer Flames like Backlund wanting out. It just looked like there was a great divide on the team. Sutter seems to have been singled out as the scapegoat. I think this season will define whether that’s the case.
In all honesty I felt the Flames had a much better team than their record showed. Goaltending was a massive issue. But it looked to me like team chemistry was the other. If they can sort out the chemistry issue. Which it looks like they are trying to do and let the best goalies play regardless of cap hit I still think the Flames can be competitive. I guess if my hunch is wrong we’ll find out that they are fundamentally not good enough.
So per your post. It could turn out very positively. Or there could be a harder reality. I don’t have any idea which fork it will take. Guess that’s why we all keep tuning in. Like a soap opera in a way.
